Give Thanks

Halloween hasn't even passed yet and I'm already getting excited for Thanksgiving! Last year we were able to go home for Thanksgiving but stayed home for Christmas because we had just moved into our house. This year it will be different, we will have our 1st Thanksgiving in our new home.

It won't just be us, we will be celebrating with our friends Britt and Shane. We have also opened the invitation to anyone in Kyle's company that have nowhere else to go.

I am excited to cook for more people this year. I am already making plans for 4 kinds of mini pies, they are much more fun to make and easier to eat. I will probably go all out and make a beautiful tablescape, as long as Kyle gets to watch football he could care less what I do haha.

I love these ideas!! :)

Do you have any special plans for Thanksgiving this year?

  4. We're not sure what we're doing this year. We usually have Thanksgiving with my sister's family but they moved so we may celebrate just the three of us or we may drive the few hours to my brother's house.

  7. Thanksgiving is always low-key at my house because my mom has to work Thanksgiving day, which is fine by me. I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving because 2 weeks later I graduate college!

  12. I'm already planning for Thanksgiving as well, at least on the guest list. It's so kind of you to open your house to others who would spend the day by themselves otherwise. Love the spreads, maybe I'll pick up some suggestions this year as well if I find the time..

  13. I've started pinning Thanksgiving stuff even though we don't get to host it. It's one of my favorite holidays! My sister was married to a marine for 10 yrs and a few of the years that they were in North Carolina they invited guys that didn't have a place to go and they ended up having about 32 people one year! It's really nice of you to do that.

  14. We will be hosting single sailors again this year. Of course, "we" is a relative term since there is no guarantee Lt will be here. (ツ)_/¯

  16. Awesome! I can't wait to host my first Thanksgiving. This year I'll be going to my parents because my husband will be overseas. Last year, I flew to Huachuca because the husband was doing training! I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for next year!

This year I think only one person is coming, and so it will be fun!
