My Favorite Time Of Year!

It is finally my favorite time of year, every year we look forward to all the fun things that fall brings. We always make a pretty big deal out of Halloween, we don't dress up as often as we would like but we always decorate and dress up Emma and Fishy. 

When we got to NC and finally experienced a real fall we did everything from haunted hay rides, corn mazes and haunted trails. We had the best time, some of our favorite fall memories happened in NC. We are excited to take advantage of what El Paso has to offer, even if we don't have much time to do it.



This is also the perfect time of year for baking and let me tell you I always do a TON of baking. This year I have plans to make 8 different treats for Kyle's company and as usual these adorable mice will be one of them:


They are so fun to make and always a huge hit. 

Since Kyle won't be back until pretty close to Halloween, I have plans to get all of our decorations out this weekend and put them up. I'm excited to surprise him. I'm even pretty excited that our Halloween candy arrived yesterday. I don't buy it in the store because it's so expensive, so I order it from Oriental Trading and it's a much better value:


I hope we have enough haha.

Can't wait to share pictures of our decorations and Emma and Fishy's Halloween costumes.

    I love making the mice! The munchkin has already been asking about them. And I've never thought to order candy online before. Even at the commissary it definitely adds up to a small fortune!

    I love the pet costumes, haha. We're thinking about getting Purrburger one of the Star Wars costumes from PetCo. And we never had trick or treaters at Bragg. It was weird. We bought plenty of candy and had to eat it ourselves.

    Wow, that's a lot of candy. I've never heard of ordering it, but that's a great idea. We don't have a ton of trick-or-treaters, so I just bought 2 bags. I also LOVE Emma and Fishy's costumes!

    I love Halloween! Unfortunately no trick-or-treaters come to my house so we've stopped decorating & buying candy.

    You're so cute. I'll be honest, I'm not a huge fan of decorating for Halloween. I think it's fun when other people are, though! :-)

    Oh my goodness, those past pet costumes!!! Adorable. We stopped getting people to our house because everyone in the neighborhood is now in college. I love when all the holidays start happening! Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years! I hope your weekend is as sweet as you!

    It's my favorite season, too!!! Need to get the girls' costumes set next week.. Love the costumes for the little ones, but Fishy doesn't look so happy.. Still cute ;-)

    That's smart to buy your candy online. It is SO expensive in the store. I saw a bag today at Walmart for $13! It's ridic!

    This is definitely my favorite time of year too! I love the weather and all the decorations! There's something about the crisp cool air that makes you want to stay in and bake all day. Lol! Can't wait to see your decorations! :)

    so cute!!! i JUST finished decorating for Halloween (and a little bit of fall...just need to buy/make more fall decorations). my last thing of my "to do" list for Halloween is to buy the candy...the last time i bought candy i had to go back and buy more because Brian and I ate them all...lol.
