Random Thoughts

So I take back what I said about loving the rain. I love it in moderation...not this crazy all day flooding rain we have been getting. These 3 pictures are what my backyard looked like yesterday and it got worse. El Paso hasn't seen this much rain in a few years, many roads were closed due to flooding and the road over the mountain to the West side was closed due to a rock slide. I did venture out to head to the doctor but that was it, I didn't want to take my chances in this weather.

I do have some pretty awesome news to share. For the last year or so Kyle and I have been diligently working on paying off debt. We are only a month and a half away from having our only debt be the mortgage on our house! No car payments and no credit card debt. It is such a good feeling and I'm really proud of us for sticking to the budget that we set for ourselves.

We have 2 runs this weekend that I hope my doctor will be ok with me participating in. One is a German American run on post and the other is The Color Run (this one I can walk if she says no). Fingers crossed that I get the go ahead!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  16. That rain makes it look like you're here in Portland. ;-) And YAY for almost no debt. I'm sure that's a fabulous feeling. It will be years before Nate and I are out from under our college debt but I'm so excited for that day!

I have a run tomorrow as well. I hope you can participate, but take it easy and try to get some rest.

We had this kind of rain today, too. Sucks, when it' exactly the time when I head out for the bus.

  29. I want it to rain here, but then again I don't because then I feel like our house will never be built. Rain just sounds nice lately.

Paying off debt is an awesome feeling. Good for you guys!! That will be so nice to have no car or credit card payments.
