Yesterday, a friend of mine sent me this picture that she found in the El Paso Times newspaper on Sunday. This was taken at the German American Run a few weeks ago. I really didn't think it would end up in the paper. Me and Kyle had a great time hanging out with 2 soldiers from his company, John and Stacey.
I know I talk a lot about running on here (sorry to those it bores lol) but I have been wanting to make something to hold medals and race bids. I found this online and I've decided to make it:
For now I just have everything hanging on a cork board and that's boring to me. Can't wait to post a picture of the finished product.

On a different subject, I am super excited for my trip to Vegas. I'm heading out later this week and actually driving. Yes, 11 1/2 hours in a car with just me and Emma haha. I may have lost my mind but it was much cheaper than flying and I get to have my own car.
When I get back it will be full steam ahead with FRG events, we have a welcome home bag packing party for the soldiers coming back from their month long NTC rotation. It will be a little pick me up for them. I am ready for the craziness, there is nothing better than being busy.
Hope you all have a great day!

Wow, 11.5 hours of driving, that's rough! Please be careful! So excited for you to be able to visit your family! And yay for making it in the paper, that's so awesome! Please share the project when it's done, I might steal it from you ;-)
ReplyDeleteSo cool! You're famous!
ReplyDeleteHave a safe drive! I can barely tolerate 2.5 hours of driving. I can't imagine driving for nearly 12 hours!
We are road warriors, often choosing driving over flying, so the thought of a long drive excites me. :) Have a great trip!
ReplyDeleteI saw a medal holder on Pinterest that had RUN in big letters from the craft store on the top. I think I may pull that one together one of these days.
ReplyDeleteThat medal holder looks awesome! And have fun on your trip to Vegas! Get some good road trip snacks! :)
ReplyDeleteLong drive but a few stops along the way gets the juices flowing. Fun to see photo from the paper. Good idea for your ribbons. I have alot of 4-H ribbons stuffed away and thought about framing them. Maybe I can get more creative than that. Take care, my friend.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you come up with! I'm sure it will be awesome! Yea for time with family!!!! That's a long drive, but it will be worth it, I'm sure. I love being busy, it makes the time go by faster and helps you feel accomplished.
ReplyDeleteWho hooo! Have fun!!
ReplyDeleteWe just found out yesterday that Will doesn't have to go to NTC, thank goodness. I was afraid they were going to make him go, even though he isn't deploying.
ReplyDeleteThat's such a cool holder for your running achievements! So glad you'll have Emma with you on your trip! Safe travels!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for displaying and saving bibs and medals. After my first mud run in August, I didn't know what to do with my stuff. This looks promising. And yay for staying busy! :-)
