Running Can Keep You Warm!

A few months ago I sent off some of my favorite race shirts to a friend of mine who makes amazing quilts. I have been anxiously waiting for its arrival and let me tell you I was not disappointed! She made an American Flag quilt for me a few years ago and I'm always impressed with her work.

I absolutely love how it turned out and now I can be reminded of some of the best races we have done and keep warm at the same time.

It has a permanent place on the couch now. Next up she will be making us a baby blanket when we find out the gender. :)

  1. Great use of all your racing shirts!. I should really do this with some of my shirts as well - better than having them just take up space in my closet.

  4. I love this! I am saving all my racing shirts to do the same thing. Of course, I only have like 5 so I probably need to run more!

  5. That is so cool! I looked up some local 5ks to "run" with Andy this spring and summer and I'm so excited. I walked 2.17 miles in 37 minutes last night so I'm almost there!

  7. Oh my gosh, this is such a fun idea!! Y'all do so many races that I bet it's impossible to ever wear all the shirts. Such great way to think back on your memories!

  8. That's so fun!! I had a quilt made out of several of my old fraternity shirts, and I love it! I don't currently have it displayed anywhere, though... I really should do that. :)

  9. I love this and it is such a great idea for what to do with all those running t-shirts! I really should have that done with my old pageant festival t-shirts.

  12. I am all about t-shirt quilts! I have several in the works (slash I took the shirts out of my dresser and moved them to my craft room, haha).

  14. I LOVE that idea! I'm in the middle of making one from all of my sorority shirts, but sadly the parts are sitting up in a closet somewhere. I'll need to get that finished one of these days.
