Happy October everyone! I can't believe it's already October 1st, I had to double check the calendar this morning. Here is what I am thinking about these days.
*I love our town more and more everyday! I mean seriously how cute it is?! People think this area of Louisiana is scary and less than desirable, but to me it's amazing. I love the people, family run businesses, and the food. :)

*Kyle heads back to work tomorrow and I think it is going to be great for him. I can tell that he is going stir crazy so it will be nice for us to both to get back into our normal routines (well his altered normal routine)
*Am I the only one who is already sick of the political posts?! I can't believe we have to endure another year of this nonsense.
*My sister and the kiddos are coming to visit next weekend and I am ridiculously excited! We are excited to spend time with them and just have fun. It's going to be an awesome weekend together.
*I am 95% finished with Christmas shopping (yes I know it's only October 1st lol) and boy it feels good! It took me a while to figure out gifts for a few but I think I got it right. We will see. haha.
*Since it is officially the month of Halloween, I think it's time to make these yummy treats. I make them every year and they are always a hit.

Happy Thursday Everyone!
Christmas shopping? Hating you!! Haha
ReplyDeleteShare your treat recipe!!
Hahahaha! I went back and posted the link for the mice. :)
DeletePolitical posts drive me crazy too! What's in the mice? They look amazing.
ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed you're almost done with Christmas shopping!! I'm always the last minute girl, but I blame it on Singapore. I forget Christmas is rocking up until it's here! That treat looks soo cute!!
ReplyDeleteWow you are doing awesome with the Christmas shopping! I bought one gift this weekend and was so proud of myself for being so ahead of the game! :) I am tired of political posts too. I wish the presidential election could just be this November and we could be done with it all!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you love your town and cheers to almost having Christmas shopping done. You are a rockstar, lady!
ReplyDeleteI have a few Christmas gifts and think I'm going to pick out gift cards a bit at a time. One year I waited too late. Easier on pocketbook a bit at a time. I need to work on my photo calendars as well. Glad Kyle is back to work and pray he doesn't over do it. I'm waiting for fall mnms to go on sale.
ReplyDeleteUgggh, yes...I am so over the political posts, but we've got some time before they go away, womp womp.
ReplyDeletedone with your shopping?! oh man, come do mine! lol
ReplyDeleteThe political posts are too much. Especially when their not based on facts. I can't even.
ReplyDeleteWAIT, you mean elections aren't this year? SERIOUSLY?!?!? With the amount of people talking about the elections I could have sworn they were in a few months!
ReplyDeleteDone Christmas shopping?! Holy crap! I thought I was on top of things with knowing what I wanted to get people. I'm seriously impressed!
ReplyDeleteI love that little mouse treat! Also, thank you for the pictures of the town. It's odd how you can hate a place so much, but once you leave you miss it. There was this amazing little soup and sandwich shop in the middle of the 171... cant remember the name, but their food was to die for, I still crave it. (just googled it... The Ranch House!) The owners were over the top kind southern ppl from what I remember. Also, crawfish... HATE them, never even ate one... but I miss the smell of them.. and the crawfish boils. I miss those days. Enjoy the Army's best little home town. You will miss it one day.
ReplyDeleteWe are definitely going to miss it here!
DeleteYou and your Christmas shopping...haha! You would think that this being our third year in Alaska I would need to get it done early, because shipping time is soooo slow. But no. I'll be shopping on Christmas Eve, like usual. LOL
ReplyDeleteChristmas shopping?! Oh my gosh, I'm jealous of how ahead of the game you are! I always say I'll start early, but I never do. Whoops. :)
ReplyDeletehaha I knew if I didn't get a head start I would be struggling later.
DeleteThe political posts........oh my lord.....I can't stand them!
ReplyDeleteYes! It's just too much nonsense.
DeleteI haven't even started thinking about Christmas gifts! I need to get with it! :)
ReplyDeleteI've mastered the one-day Christmas shop, so I am really good at procrastinating. I also have the excuse of having to travel back east this year, haha.
ReplyDeleteCute mice! I am about half done with Christmas at this point! Yay for shopping throughout the year!
ReplyDeleteUgh, I'm with you on the political posts... and we still have 13 months until the election, haha. :-/
