Life Lately

Not a whole lot has been going on in our neck of the woods lately but at the same time I feel like it has been busy. (Does that even make sense?! lol) Here is what's happening.

Our vacuum broke. :/ Thankfully Dyson's customer service was awesome and they paid to have it overnighted to their service center (because when you live in a ridiculously small town like we do there are no service centers near) and we should have it back in 7-10 days.

The weather lately has been beautiful! We have had a few nights of rain but otherwise there are no complaints from me at all. I will never get tired of this view.

I am finally getting back into crafting. This stuff will be turned into coasters today, I am making a set for my sister and I can't wait to see how they turn out!

This is pretty much how Emma and Kyle spend evenings haha...she loves being cuddle by him and he obviously isn't hating it either.

We finally decided to take a trip to New Orleans at the end of the month! Kyle has been once and I've never been so it will be fun to explore for a weekend. It will also give me a chance to scope out some fun stuff to do when my sister and I go in September.

After that trip I will head to Florida and pick up our niece and nephew! They always spend time with us during the summer and we can't wait to have them again. :)

Hope you all have a great Thursday!!

PS: Don't forget to enter my giveaway!

  7. I'd love to go to New Orleans someday. Hope you guys have fun. I love crafting but it seems to go in spurts as to how much I do. Just did some sewing last week and am back in the mood to make some more things. Can't wait to see how the coasters turn out.

  8. I've always wanted to visit New Orleans! My papaw was stationed at Camp Johnson back in the 60s, it's since now part of University of New Orleans' campus.

  9. New Orleans will be fun. Make sure you get a beignet! I think I spelled that right. They are so good!

I love Dyson's customer service. My hose got a hole in it and they replaced it, free of charge.

  10. So awesome dyson is working with you, that's great service. Good luck with crafting, I'm so bad at it, but can't wait to see what you come up with lady.

New Orleans is such a fabulous city. It's one of my top five in the US right now. I suggest getting to the French Quarter, hitting up Cafe Du Monde [go eeeeeeeeeeeeearly to miss the lines and bring cash], dinner at Armands is great, a make a stop on bourbon street even if it's for a lil bit. I know alot of people are like blah, but it's FUN to experience the 'strip'. Also, depending on how long you go you could hit up the ww2 museum which is amazing. We spent 4 hours there one day, so good. Let me know any other questions.

  21. The one thing I am looking forward to about moving back to GA is to get back to New Orleans for a visit. It just seems like no amount of time is long enough to see, and more importantly eat everything!!

  22. I've never been to New Orleans, it sounds like a fun place to visit! I also wouldn't mind a weekend away :) I know that feeling, you feel super busy but you aren't really. That's how I feel most days :)

  23. How did the coasters turn out? After fixing absolutely all the things that were in my overflowing "clothes to be mended" basket, I'm now feeling that it may be time to paint the letters for the kids' doors.. I may get back to normal slowly.. :-)

  24. I am itching to get back to crafting! I have a few planned out already! We love NOLA. You need to go to restaurant in the bottom of the lowes hotel for lunch. They had great food and 35 cent cosmos (or similar) you can get up to 3 per person. Also check out Acme oyster bar! So yummy!
