Ramblings On Wednesday

Well we are in full unpacking mode! All of the boxes are unpacked and we are putting things away and getting things hung up. It is certainly feeling like home and we are loving it!

In the midst of all this craziness there are other happenings:

*I registered for my last set of classes yesterday, which means I am on track to graduate in August 2015! That means I will have finished my bachelors degree in 23 months.

*I have started applying for jobs here...I am hoping for at least a few calls.

*The reason I am applying for jobs is because there is NO FRG for where Kyle will be working. Am I wrong for being slightly happy about this?! It will be a nice break.

*Kyle heads back to work on Tuesday, it has been nice to have him home but we are both ready for a routine again.

*We have our first race in Louisiana on the 15th, I am ridiculously excited!

*Emma and Fishy have easily adjusted to their new home as you can see, it's a good place to live.

I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!

  8. It is so funny that there is no FRG for Kyle's unit since is seems like hubby's unit is pushing so hard for the FRG and no one wants to participate. However the break is a good thing. As is the lack of drama and stress that can come from participating in some of them. You are a rockstar! 23 months! Dang Girl you are speeding through it! It's good though because no one wants to drag that out. Fingers crossed you get some interviews and hopefully a job you love.
Yay for your first race in Louisiana! You all running all these races have inspired me to get back into working out and running more.

    1. Yeah with OPS Group being so different (there are no commanders with the exception of the COG) there is no need for an FRG. Any information get sent out through the soldiers and they are constantly with rotations anyway lol. Thanks friend! I am so ready to be done with school.

  14. I think part of the war fatigue everyone has been writing about recently is FRG fatigue. There's a blog post in there somewhere.

  16. Lol. I love that you are excited about no frg. We have yet to be associated with a unit that has a legit frg. Isn't it funny how different the experiences can be?

  17. How is going from owning a nice home to military housing?? Not to sound like a brat but I think I would be pissed lol. We were in military housing before we bought this home and I NEVER want to go back.
