This and That

These last few days have felt like a blur. With taking 4 classes on top of FRG, medical appointments, and family visits I am exhausted.

*Today we have last big FRG event, we will spend the afternoon bowling with the soldiers and their families. I am really excited to see everyone and it will be a great way to say goodbye.

*My Dad gets here tonight to stay with us for a few days. I am really looking forward to his visit. He doesn't get a lot of time off work so he tries to visit family when he does.
*My big project as of late has been our battalion volunteer recognition lunch. It is on Tuesday and I am excited to see how it all comes together.

*We have made plans to go to my sisters for Easter. It will be great to spend it with the kiddos (and the rest of the family lol), Kyle will only stay for the 4-day weekend but I am staying for another week and a half. I even scored a $2.50 one way plane ticket back to El Paso.

*School has been going really well, I am enjoying the classes but math has never been my strong point so that is what I spend most of my time on. My brain is fried after 11 homework assignments.

*We also found out that there is a possibility for us to go to Ft. Polk if DC does not work out. It came as a shock to us but it would be another great opportunity.

*Emma is back to her spunky self but wants nothing to do with me haha.We did find out that the growth was just an epidermal cyst, nothing to be concerned about at all. We are so thankful!

That is about all that is happening over here. Hope you all have a great Wednesday!

  1. I've heard great things about Ft. Polk. It's crazy how in this life, things can change so suddenly at the drop of a hat.

  2. Glad Emma is okay! Scott spent all weekend on 5 math problems. That's how math-intensive his classes are. Math is definitely not my strength either. 2nd grade math is just right for me!

Glad Emma is doing well! Enjoy the time with your dad and family. Also good luck with your medical appointments. I will be keeping you in my thoughts!

  11. Fort Polk was where they wanted to send us and where we would be going next month but when Ft. Stewart opened up as an option, it is closer to both sets of parents, I said for J to take it.

  16. Ft. Polk sounds enough like Polka that I am apparently immature enough to make me giggle ;)

  23. A $2.50 plane ticket?! How in the world did you do that?! I get so envious every time you talk about FRG! LOL I'm not all that motivated to get involved at the moment (I don't think there is one anyway), but I'm really looking forward to John taking command and being a leader again. I know I'll be coming to you a lot for ideas and advice.
