With the beginning of 2013, the talk of starting fertility treatments is very much present in our minds. Once we get me set up in the system here and get my medical records transferred I will hopefully get a referral to a new RE (reproductive endocrinologist) doctor. We are anxious to get this started again because trying on our own is obviously not working. We both know that the medications make me a hormonal nightmare so we are preparing for that aspect as well. The weight gain is also another side-effect that I will do my best to keep at a minimum so I can stay extremely healthy.
We know that Kyle will be deploying again and we want to get this process started as soon as possible. I am hoping that the hospital on post is helpful and can get me going in the right direction. I don't want to have to argue with people.
I hear and see so many people who are not thankful for the beautiful gifts they have been given. Kyle and I would give anything to have that. We are also giving adoption a more serious look as well. The bottom line is that we know we will be parents, we just don't know when. All I know is that we will do everything in our power to make it happen in 2013!
:)
Thank you all for the wonderful support throughout this journey, you have no idea how much it means to us.

My best friend in AK (who just moved to WA) has spent the last 3 years dealing with this. The army hospital eventually referred them and they had the necessary tests done...they were told "nothing" is wrong, but they don't want to do IV for religious reasons. So they are adopting. The paperwork has been in the works for months and now they are hoping by the end of 2013, they'll have a baby.
ReplyDeleteI recommend doing the adoption process side-by-side with your medical treatments (if adoption is something you think you'll do anyway), because of the precious time it will save. This is such a struggle for so many couples and I'm hoping for the best for you and Kyle!
:)
Sending ALL the well wishes your way! I hope this is your year!! :))
ReplyDeleteHigh hopes for this year! Anytime you need some tea (or coffee) and sympathy, I'm here :)

My heart goes out to you guys, you'll be in my thoughts and prayers! Even from all the way across the country it's easy to tell how much you want a baby and what an awesome mom you'd be! xo
ReplyDeleteA touch and beautiful post! My prayers go out for you both - God has a plan! And you two will be blessed with a very special angel - whether you carried him/her in your womb for nine months or you hold them in your arms for the first time.
ReplyDeleteJust popped over from Sitting in a Tree and wanted to say best of luck to you in your journey to becoming a mommy. I know it can be a long, tiring, emotional one, but the end result is definitely worth the journey! I'll be checking in to see how things progress! :)
ReplyDeleteI need to send you my friends link ...she has a blog dedicated to her infertility journey and has a community etc for it as well. She is such a Godly woman and full of inspiration. I will continue to pray for you as well!
