The Ugly "C" Word.......

I am trying to write down all the jumbled thoughts in my head.....not sure how coherant this is going to be but here goes:

My beautiful, strong, wonderful mom, Kathy, was diagnosed with cancer yesterday. I never thought I would have to hear those awful words. She went into the hospital with flu like symptoms and the doctors discovered several tumors and nodules.

She is resting comfortably right now as the Doctors prepare a game plan. As soon as I get the word from my Dad I am on a plane to Vegas. I am angry, scared, frustrated...but hopeful that she can beat this.

Please keep our family in your prayers but especially keep my mom in your prayers. She is the most beautiful person inside and out that I have ever known.

  1. I am so so so sorry to hear this. My Mom also has cancer and it's been a hard road. She was diagnosed right before my wedding. The way it sounds, your Mom is an incredibly strong lady! She can beat this! You and your family are in my prayers.

  3. Hey hun, I am SO sorry that you're family has to go through this. I obviously don't know what type or stage or whatever about your family's cancer, but my family has been touched by it as well [my father], so if you ever need a sounding board or someone to commiserate with, definitely email me back! Many hugs.

  8. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. My family has been deeply affected by cancer and it certainly changes the course of life for everyone involved, but not always for the worse. Be strong for your mama!
