The long journey ahead.

This morning I dropped my Mom and Dad off at the airport so they could fly to Phoenix. It was bittersweet for me because I won't see her when she comes back. Thankfully Kyle and I will be back in July to visit. She has been so strong this whole time and she has not lost her sense of humor. We are all so grateful for the love, support and prayers that everyone has sent her way, it is truly amazing!! This will be a long journey but she will get better, I just know it!!!

I am looking forward to Friday because my sister, Lisa, and I will be geting tattoos in support of Mom. It will be a Monarch Butterfly and the body of the butterfly will be the pancreatic cancer ribbon, and underneath it will say Mom. I can't wait to post a picture when it is done.

I know I have been a horrible blogger when it comes to responding to comments and commenting on posts. I promise that I will get back to it. I just want everyone to know that I have read every single comment and each one means sooo much!!! Thank you!!

I will be headed home to North Carolina on Saturday, I am excited to see Kyle and the animals. I have missed them all very much!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday!!!

  3. How bittersweet. But like you keep saying, she is going to be in wonderful hands in a place that is giving her another chance. Your mom is in my continued prayers.

  4. I'm so glad you have had so much encouraging news about your mom! Still praying! And I can't wait to see the tattoo. It sounds beautiful!
