4 months!

Happy 2017! Can't wait to share a recap of our awesome trip to Florida but that will have to wait until later this week.

Let's talk about how our sweet baby girl is already 4 months old! I can't believe it. Time has flown by and it really has been so amazing. She is our little chunky monkey, she weighed 13lbs at a doctors appointment 2 weeks ago. She has her 4 month shots tomorrow and I'm dreading it.

Her personality has been in full bloom this month and it's hilarious. She loves to laugh and giggle, and will smile at everyone. She is reaching for everything (including mommy's hair), loves her Sophie giraffe, and pretty much everything goes in her mouth. She loves swatting at her toys in her bouncer and this trip to Florida really got her interested in her cousins. They loved making her laugh.

She is starting to enjoy tummy time because has figured out how to roll from stomach to back and she is so happy about that. She even scoots herself sideways and it's the cutest thing.

She is a bit of a night owl and will go to bed around 11pm (which is fine by me because I stay up to work on school) and sleep until 8-9am. She is still a champ on long road trips, we have perfected our set-up, which means I ride in the back with her to keep her entertained.

She is only really angry when she is hungry, but I don't blame her one bit.

She is such a joy and even with the hard and stressful times being a parent is so worth it!

  6. My wife got her ears pierced when she was a baby along with her shots. I cant' believe her mom made her go through it that early. Sure she doesn't remember it now, but I don't think I could put a daughter of mine (though I have zero children as of yet) through such pain at such an age.

At least shots are good for the child. I remember getting one near 4-5 years old and being scared as crap. The only joy was knowing I'd get candy at the end. Now if I get a shot, if I ask for candy I get stared at. What a ripoff.

    1. We won't be getting E's ears pierced, we have decided to let her do that when she is ready. :)

  7. Cute she is and enjoy this time. Amazing how I adored my children when they were small. I still love them after all these years. Being a mom is the best job ever in spite of some of the struggles. My little granddaughter Lydia can be so serious but is finally warming up to us where I can hold her without her crying. Her big sis can get her to laugh tho. She'll be 8 mo old tomorrow and pulling herself up already. She loves being up!

  14. My four always traveled well (still do and three of them are grown). ;) I'm glad for you, it keeps a lot of options open. What is it about that Sophie that kids love so much? LOL Every single one of 'em just loves that toy!! My niece is loving hers right now too. Looking forward to hearing about your time in FL. :)

  16. How is time flying by so fast! She is super adorable. Those cheeks need lots of kisses! Eve is a night owl and I love it. I can get a lot done while the other half of the house is asleep.
