Kyle and I were reminiscing about his career so far in the military...we both realized how much we miss being in an Airborne community.
Maybe one day he will go back to an Airborne unit (preferably the 82nd) and earn his Master wings.
He sure does miss jumping. Yes, he is in this picture somewhere lol.

Happy Wednesday!
Oh I see him! lol
ReplyDeleteSo cool! John is qualified (and used to belong to an Airborne unit), but I've never been lucky enough to see him jump. I love hearing his stories though! Happy Wednesday!
ReplyDeletewe will be leaving Korea this Spetember (finally!) and we are headed to Fort Bragg! My husband cant wait to go Airborne! I'm terrified of heights so it makes me nervous but I know he will love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a rush that must be, jumping out of a plane like that!
ReplyDeleteWe really miss the airborne unit. Here, the tagline on base at the gate isn't "Airborne". It's "Maneuver support starts here!" Uh, okay. Scott still says "Airborne" back to them and I said, "Are you allowed to do that?" lol
ReplyDeleteThat's a great photo! I could never do it, haha
ReplyDeleteHe's totally second from the left. I can tell.
ReplyDeleteAnd dude - he's brave, but that looks scaaaaaaaary!
Nice! B went to Airborne, Ranger, and Air Assault schools.... and that was enough jumping out of planes for him. And I'm okay with that, too.
ReplyDeleteThough, not going to lie, I really miss B being in the 101st. That was such a great place to be and, though we love where we are now, it's a hard unit to top. I would gladly go back to Campbell in a heartbeat.
It seems like there would be a lot of cool stories. Happy Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteWow! What a great photo!
ReplyDeleteMy baby did Airborne (oldest son, not really a baby). :0
ReplyDeleteI like the jump pic!
Um.. that is so cool knowing he is in that picture!!! I would probably pee my pants. LOL
ReplyDeleteI feel ya. We miss SoldierMan's old unit, too. I really think there are certain cultures for certain soldiers (and families) within the Army, and you just fit in some places better than others. I'm really hoping that we will be able to feel as "at home" wherever we do wind up at the end of the year.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great picture! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture! I am amazed at the people who can jump out of plane and love it. I would pee myself if I had to jump out of a plane. :)
ReplyDeleteI do love the spirit of being around an Airborne unit. Support just isn't the same as combat arms, haha.
ReplyDeleteI've always heard that the community in an MOS like that is wicked close. I think its pretty awesome and I definitely admire someone that can jump out of an airplane like it ain't no big thang ;)
ReplyDeleteChris is in an airborne unit it up here and I think he enjoys it. It is a lot more intense than the other units he was in. Maybe its the adrenaline rush from jumping, but they never really seem to simmer that down up here. LOL! I am incredibly uninvolved, but we do enjoy watching him jump whenever we can!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool picture! I could never do that but I give props to those who can!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome photo!
ReplyDeleteHave a great Easter weekend!
ReplyDeleteomg that picture is crazy!!!
ReplyDeleteWill wants to do Airborne SO bad! I'm not sure if he can do it now that he's going to be a pilot, but we are really hoping.
