Back in late December we celebrated an anniversary of sorts. On December 20th we celebrated 1 year of being homeowners. Let me tell ya it has been a pretty awesome year. We never thought that we would get the chance to own a home while Kyle was still active duty. We thought long and hard about making this decision but it is one we have never regretted.
When it comes time for us to PCS (mostly likely next year) we will be faced with the choice to rent it out or sell it. Until then we will continue to be happy homeowners until something breaks haha.
I took these photos not long after our household goods were delivered....so many memories have been made in this house since then.
I hope you all have an amazing Tuesday!
Happy House-aversary! It's such a lovely home and I hope you have many more memories in the house.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! My husband and I go back and forth all the time about whether or not to buy when we PCS next -- sometimes I just hate making adult decisions!

It is a tough choice to make but so worth it. :)
DeleteAww, great decision, indeed! I am HOPING we buy at the end of this year, It's hard with Jason and I both working full time and he in law school b/c I know squat about maintenence, and lawns, lol, and Jason doesn't have loads of free time, but I am SO tired of renting. Happy "House-o-versary"!

Happy Homeowner Anniversary! You really have a gorgeous home. If you get the chance to rent it - I say go for it. It would be an awesome source of extra income one day after it's completely paid off!

ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how quickly military families can make houses homes. And I was seriously all about us buying a house in El Paso. Who knows when we'll buy one now?
ReplyDeleteWe bought our house here, too, and will be putting it on the market soon. I love our house and am not at all looking forward to selling it. It really has become "home."

ReplyDeleteYay! I love your HOUSE. I also love owning our house. I was so sad to leave it and have someone else live there. We're renting it for now, and so far the tenants have been great. (: We hope to go back eventually.
ReplyDeleteTime really flies. I feel like it was yesterday when you announced this. Also, I didn't realize I've been following you for so long. I feel old.;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous place!! I don't think we will be homeowners for a very long time, but we may buy land back home soon!
