What an eventful week this has been for me and Kyle. On Tuesday, I headed up to Raleigh for my lasik consultation here:
I can honestly say that this was one of the best experience I have ever had with any kind of doctor. The entire staff was amazing!! They did 9 different tests on my eyes to make sure they were healthy and a good candidate. The doctor came in and told me that I was the perfect candidate for all bladeless lasik!!!! I couldn't imagine going anywhere else to have the surgery done. I am scheduled to have surgery on February 2nd!! I am so close to not wearing glasses or contacts anymore.
For the last few years that Kyle has been with the 82nd Airborne his main goals were to complete Jumpmaster school (which he did in 2009) and complete 30 jumps to gain his Senior Parachutist Wings.
Now 30 jumps in an airborne division sounds easy but with so many different requirements and so many people it is hard to come by. Last night it finally happened, Kyle was the Assistant Jumpmaster on a jump and successfully completed his 30th jump! I am so proud of him for all he has accomplished now we can look forward to the pinning ceremony (which should be tomorrow or friday).
We have a Hail and Farewell tomorrow night and we are anticipating it to be a pretty long night. It is being held at a delicious Russian restaurant that we have been to before. I can't wait!!
I hope everyone is having a great week so far!!!
That's awesome about the bladeless Lasik! You'll have to give me the details after your procedure. I've been debating it for the past few years. I've been wearing glasses and then contacts since I turned 5, so I would love to ditch them at some point! Good luck :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great time tomorrow night!

YAY for bladeless! That's so exciting! I hope everything goes as perfectly for you as it did for me. The only real long-term effect I've had is that now onions make my eyes water. Small price to pay :)
