Goodbye 2015!

So I took an unintended blogging break and it was actually sort of nice! I have still stayed caught up with all my favorites but writing hasn't been at the top of my list.

Here is what has been happening in our neck of the woods this last week of 2015!

*We spent an amazing Christmas in Florida with my family. Seeing the kids so excited on Christmas morning was the best. We ate lots of good food, played games, and just enjoyed time together.

*We were supposed to fly to Vegas the day after Christmas but it unfortunately did not happen. Due to horrible weather in Texas our flights were canceled and it we would have not gotten flights out until days later. We decided to stay in Florida for a few more days before heading home. It was a bummer that we didn't get to see our Vegas family for the holidays.

*One perk that came out of the that trip not happening was getting an earlier doctors appointment! We found out that I am actually 6 weeks along not 8 like they had estimated but we saw the most amazing heartbeat just beating away at 110bpm! It was incredible. I go back in 2 weeks for another ultrasound. :)

*Pregnancy sickness has hit me in full force, I have periods through the day where I feel okay but mostly I'm laying on the couch cradling a bag of pretzels but I am totally okay with that! Kyle has been so helpful and it's a huge blessing.

We have no plans tonight for NYE and I'm just fine with that, but whatever you all have planned I hope it's wonderful and I hope you are all safe!

See ya later 2015!

Happy New Year!!!

  2. This last pregnancy I lived on unsalted pretzels and Gatorade for the first trimester and a half. But it's a sign that it's going well so far. I wish you all the best for your pregnancy and that you and your baby will be healthy and happy. Congrats again!

  12. Glad u had a nice trip to FL for Christmas. Happy for your good report on sonogram and continued prayers for a healthy baby in months ahead! We found out we are have another granddaughter, late April! They did a gender reveal on facebook with their two children. It was so cute! We ate out at Red Robin then watched a movie and then I went to bed on NYE. I was so tired for being up early for work 2 days in a row! Happy 2016 to you and Kyle!

  13. With both of my pregnancies I had a condition called Hyper-Emesis. (spelling) It's basically where you vomit all day everyday even when the baby is coming out. It doesn't matter what you eat it all comes back up. When I say all day, I mean I would wake up at 2 am and it would be all day! Terrible! But the doc said I was a lucky 1% of women that it occurs in! Hopefully you won't be in that 1%! I didn't fee so lucky! Happy New Year!

    1. Thankfully the sickness has let up, I think part of it was that I was extremely exhausted from our vacation.
