14 Days

I can't believe we are only 14 days away from Christmas, to be honest for me I usually get pretty bad anxiety around this time of year but I have to say for the first time I am feeling really calm.

I am very much looking forward to Christmas this year. The first week (to include Christmas Day) will be spent with my family in Florida. One of the best parts of that is my Dad will be flying in from Idaho (he is building his bosses house up there) to spend the holidays with us! He has not seen my sister, the kids, or Kyle since January. I saw him in March when I went for a visit but this is the longest we have all gone without seeing him and we can't wait! It's going to be a week full of laughter, love, and a whole lot of fun.

The day after Christmas we are leaving Emma with my sister (so thankful for that), and hopping a flight to Vegas to see Kyle's family. It will include a day trip to Arizona to see his brother and is family, which includes our nieces, one of whom was born a month ago. We haven't seen them in quite a while so it will be great to catch up and see everyone. Kyle hasn't been back to Vegas since Christmas 2013, which seems like such a long time to me. It will be great to ring in the New Year with his family and take in the lights of Vegas. :)

I am grateful that we will get the chance to celebrate with both of our families, it means a lot to us because we don't get to do that very often.

Buddy the Elf has the right idea. :)

What are your plans for the holidays?!

Have a great weekend!

  1. Sounds like a fun holiday. We have 0 plans. No family visiting, but that's okay. It's our last Christmas in Hawaii!

  2. I'm just thankful to have time off and we'll probably just stay put. Some family might come here to visit.

  6. Sounds like fun plans and hope it all goes well for you two. I have two gift cards to purchase and make the rest of my calendars. We're home for Christmas for awhile then spend a few hours at our son's home with dessert! Always fun times with them! Merry Christmas and don't eat too much....way too many goodies right now. I've fallen for Lindt milk chocolate truffles with hazelnuts. Even worse, they are at work... I have to be very good and not eat them ALL! ;-p
