Marathon Training

Yesterday marked day 1 of marathon training! I could not have asked for better scenery than this. I do have a plan that I am going by but I won't get down on myself if I alter the plan at times.

I will be running the Riverboat Marathon in Winnsboro, Louisiana on April 19th. I am ridiculously excited and hoping that Kyle can run it with me.

Happy Wednesday!

  4. Well I just like the name. It sounds like a vacation instead of a run! :)

  5. Yay! Are you following a specific plan (like Higdon or Hanson), or do you create one yourself?

  6. What plan are you using? I really admire your dedication to running. I ran 2 miles on Saturday and that was the first time in awhile and all those boring spin classes must be paying off, because my lungs don't burn as much anymore (because of the altitude).

  7. I bet it's warm down there! It's been in the 40-50s here lately!

  8. GET ER DONE! My knees wouldn't hold up with 26 miles. 13 was max for me but you're a profesh runner so you're gonna KILL it! :)

  17. How do you train? I signed up for a marathon in Dec and will have about 7 months to train. My only idea is "run farther and longer." Lol

  20. Let the fun begin! I hope that training in Louisiana goes well. It seems humid, and I'm a wuss to that kind of weather now! Haha! I've heard that fall/winter races are the best because you get stronger running through the summer, however, my best marathon ever was in April. I have a good feeling about this one for you!
