Hey Everyone! I am so happy to be back blogging. Thanks to all my wonderful guest bloggers for holding down the fort last week for me. It's safe to say that this last week in San Antonio has been by far the best vacation we have ever taken! It was just packed but we also got the chance to just relax and enjoy time together. I'm going to split this up into 3 posts so it's not so much at once.
Monday: We got up bright and early, dropped Emma and Fishy off at the vet, and hit the road. We got into SA at around 5pm, checked into our hotel, had dinner, and went to the pool for some relaxation.
Tuesday: This was our first full day in SA and we headed off to Six Flags. We had a blast, so many fun roller coasters and water rides. We definitely will be going back, we even played some fun carnival games and left with some ridiculously funny prizes (including Superman capes haha).
After our fun filled day here we headed back to the room and thanks to some not so fun findings we ended up switching hotels and ended up at a gorgeous one!
Wednesday: We spent the day at a water park called Schlitterbahn! Wow this place was incredible. If you have never heard of it go look it up now. This is the only water park that it's primary water source comes from the river that runs along side it (some of the rides even go into the river). There are no chemicals in the water, it's only filtered. There is a West and East portion of the park and both are equally fun. The East portion is new and has the faster water rides while the west is older but we thought it was more fun and less crowded.
After we finished up at the water park, we headed back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. We headed off to Cheesecake Factory and had a great night.
Look for another recap tomorrow!
Have a great day!
I love water parks and roller coasters!!! What a great vacay this started out being!
ReplyDeleteDon't tell me you found bed bugs...
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous! I want to do roller coasters so bad this summer!! I've seen Slichterbaun... (I just butchered that name haha) on TV and it looked like a blast!
ReplyDeleteUh oh ... a bad hotel?! I can only imagine! Glad you guys were able to move to something much better! And I have heard GREAT things about Schlitterbahn -- a friend of mine was stationed out that way and would go all summer long!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're back! Sounds like a lot of fun! I really want to go to a water park now!
ReplyDeletelooks like you had a great vacation! We might take a 4 hour drive to Orlando, Florida this weekend so that we can take a mini vacation and enjoy SeaWorld.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a great time. We're going to go to Six Flags this summer too, I think, and it'll be our very first time ever. :)
ReplyDeleteThat water park sounds so interesting!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had fun the first couple of days!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys had fun! :)
ReplyDeleteWas your discovery bed bugs? Oh I hope it was just a snoopy housekeeper. We have watched a bunch of travel channel shows on waterparks and Schlitterbahn always looks like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a blast, I can't remember the last time I went to a water park!
ReplyDeleteAwesome already and you have so much more to share. I love the concept of "clean chemical free" water for the water park. How neat!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful vacation! Love reading your blog! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad y'all had fun! SA is such a cool place. I went to the Schlitterbahn but it was years ago. (I'm talking the '90's here.) I think I'm overdue for another visit! I can't wait to hear what else y'all were up to!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely go again! We had the best time. :)
DeleteI am not sure I want to know what you discovered at the hotel. I am so afraid of bed bugs when I stay at one. In San Antonio I have been staying at the air force bases.
ReplyDeleteI am so disappointed we skipped Schlitterbahn. I still have a month left in Texas so I guess I have time. It was my fault I didn't make it to ITT before they closed to buy the discount tickets.
I always enjoyed living in Texas and vacationing there. So glad you had fun on your vacation.
ReplyDeleteBummer about your first hotel! Looks like you had fun at Six Flags and Schlitterbahn!
ReplyDeleteWe definitely have to check out the Schlitterbahn when we're in San Antonio next time. The girls will love it!
ReplyDeleteI wish we were waterpark people. I feel like I used to be. We did Six Flags St. Louis and decided we weren't park people anymore lol. What happened at your hotel??
ReplyDeleteOh, y'alls vacation looked amazing and so much fun! I miss going to waterparks, lol. Will definitely have to check out Six Flags and Schlitterbahn sometime in the near future :)
ReplyDeleteSoo fun I love Six Flags!!!
ReplyDeleteMmm .. the cheescake factory sounds good. Looks like a wonderful trip thus far!
