I'm Ready!!!

Yesterday morning I headed out for my first run of July. I really wanted to push it for 7 miles, once I hit 5 I noticed that I was feeling great. I wasn't tired, I wasn't out of breath and I knew I could keep going. When it was all said and done I successfully ran 10.1 miles in a little over 2 hours! I'm not the fastest runner but I was proud!

Now I know for a fact that I am ready for the 10 miler in August and then our 1/2 marathon in October!

I also want to take a moment and wish you all a very Happy and Safe 4th of July! As we celebrate this great nations independence day with our family and friends let's not forget those who have fought and continue to fight for our freedom!

Have a wonderful day!

  3. Hooray, good for you!! When I trained for my half marathon, I had the same feeling around 5-7 miles, and I knew I had reached the point where I was ready. I started laughing in the middle of the run because it was just such a crazy good feeling - so enjoy it, you earned it!! I hope you and your hubby have a great 4th of July!!

  4. 10 miles?! GIRL! Holy smokes! That is SO fantastic! Great job! What is the Garmin thing you're wearing? I've seen a lot of other bloggers wearing them too. My doctor recommended one called a FitBit that I haven't had a chance to purchase yet but yours comes in purple which is my favorite color :) Also Happy 4th of July to you and your husband! I know me and my family really appreciate all the sacrifices you both have made for this country! Thank you!

  15. Congrats! Hitting double digits is a great feeling! And if you can already run 10 miles in this miserable heat, you'll be ready for whatever race you set your eyes on. Any desire to do a full? You'd have plenty of time to train for the EP full in February.

  22. Oh my gosh. How awesome are you?! If only I could even RUN! haha. I definitely walk more than run...like on the treadmill the other week. Although I did manage to get some running in and it increased each time I got on it! But...you freakin' ROCK!
