It is safe to say that this last weekend was amazing! It started out on Friday night with a El Paso Diablos baseball game, it was the first time Kylie had been to one and she loved it.
We all headed to bed early because Saturday was the 10 Miler and would be an early morning for all of us. We were up at 4:45am on Saturday to get ready. We dropped Kylie off with Kyle's 1SGT (she was gracious enough to watch her for us) and we set off for the run.
Sunday was mostly a rest day except we had to take advantage of the Discover the Dinosaurs event that came to town. Kylie LOVED it, they had life size dinosaurs and so many fun activities for kids. I think we had as much fun as she did.
It was an awesome weekend! Can't wait to have more fun next weekend.
Hope you all had a great one!
So happy to hear your race went well :) Enjoy your time with Kylie!

DeleteSounds like a fun weekend! In your pictures your husband looks like he loves being an uncle. He reminds me of how D is with our nieces and nephews.
ReplyDeleteThe dino exhibit looks awesome! Congrats to you and Kyle on the race!!
ReplyDeleteThat's SO sweet that he ran with you. Pre-kid, Derek used to just run at his own pace and me at mine (maybe that's cause I don't like to talk though when I run), but now with Drew, we stay together and take turns pushing him! Glad you had a fun weekend!
ReplyDeleteYayyy! That's awesome!!

ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet! It was an amazing experience and I'm so glad we got to do it together. :)
DeleteWe've been to a few zoos that have a similar dinosaur exhibit. I'm pretty sure my 27 year old husband was as excited as your niece, haha.
ReplyDeleteAw, that's very sweet that he stayed with you. :) Glad you finished, I know it must have felt great!
ReplyDeleteGlad you both finished well on your heat race on Sat. Looks like a fun weekend! I thought of you yesterday when we were walking in the heat of early evening to/from outlet mall where we nab a sandwich for our Sun. evening meal. I had a long sleeve UV (omni shade by Columbia) shirt on, trying it out for this weekend when we are out most of the day. It's a good shirt and I can't afford to burn my arms and neck any more this summer. I am walking faster when we are on our evening walks. Started watching my intake of food, pulling back a bit. I need to lose 8 lbs! I will remain strong! :0-
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the race! That's awesome!
ReplyDelete10 miles!! That is AWESOME!!! Like always that was very sweet of your husband to stay at your pace :) Love that this is something you can do together and you both really enjoy it (and are damn good at it too).
