Happy Wednesday!

This has been my home away from home for the last few days. Kyle's bowling team has made it to the semi-finals for the commanders cup tournament!

Fingers crossed that they win tonight and advance to the final tomorrow night.

(Kyle is on the far right bowling)

It has been a fun few months hanging out with everyone at the bowling alley and Kyle even finished 8th in the mens bracket so he gets to bowl in the singles tournament on Monday.

I love my nerd! :)

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

4 Days of Fun!

What a great 4 days of vacation in California with my sister, Kylie and Grayson! We spent the first 3 days at Disneyland/California Adventures and it was awesome.

This is probably my favorite place on the planet, I turn into a big kid and just have the best time.

Our last day in CA we headed off to Huntington Beach for a little fun in the sun. The kids had a blast and it brought back a lot of memories for me and Lisa.

It was a great two weeks of vacation with family but it is nice to be back home.

Now it's time to enjoy some Wonderland Tea (that my awesome sister bought me) in my new Disney Mug!

Have a great day!!

Birthday Boy!

I made it back safely to El Paso just in time to celebrate Kyle's birthday. Today he turns 29 and we had a great weekend celebrating.

Saturday night we headed off to our first El Paso Chihuahua's baseball game, they are a new Triple A team (they are a feeder team for the Padres). We had a blast and it turned out they were doing their first fireworks display of the season. They won the game which was even better.

Sunday morning we had a blast doing our favorite thing together: running! We ran a 5k for pancreatic cancer, it was a wonderful event and a nice way to spend the morning.

Since he has bowling tonight we had cake and ice cream last night along with his requested birthday dinner: homemade enchiladas.

I made him his favorite funfetti cake and of course mint chocolate chip ice cream.

I decorated his office yesterday and let me tell you I had to tell quite the fib for him not to find out. I can't wait to get a text from him to see what he thinks about the decorations.

Happy Birthday, babe!!!! I love you.

Happy Monday and Cinco de Mayo everyone!

7 Years

7 years ago a bright eyed 22 year old commissioned into the United States Army. Today he is a remarkable soldier, leader, officer, man and husband. I am so proud of all that he has done over these last 7 years! He does not think what he does is anything special but it's just what he loves to do. He has accomplished so much in a short time and I know he will continue to do amazing things.

Receiving the Bronze Star

Being pinned with his Senior Parachutist Wings

Operation Toy Drop Jump

Taking command of Bravo Company

Commander's Reception

I love you Kyle and I am so proud of you!!! Here is to another 7 and many more beyond that.

This and That

* I'm excited to celebrate Kyle's birthday when I get home! He still has no clue that I will be decorating his office so that's exciting. We have plans for an early dinner and a baseball game tomorrow night.

*We are running a 5k on Sunday that all proceeds go to families affected by Pancreatic cancer, something very close to my heart as that is what my Mom passed away from. I am excited that her name will be on the shirt with others taken too soon.

*I passed my Math class with a B. I hate Math and I was not expecting to do so well. Thank goodness!

*I am actually thankful that I have had a break from FRG stuff for a little bit. With the unit being deactivated it has been quiet.

*I am bummed that they pushed back when we will find out about the DC fellowships. The Army can never be on time. lol.

*Next weekend we are going to be doing another color run (well a Color Dash), I was disappointed with the Color Run in November so hopefully this one is better.

Not much else going on in our neck of the woods, my vacation is over as of today and I will be on a plane home tomorrow.

I'm excited to get back home and into my routine.

Hope you all have a great weekend!
