Birthday to Remember

Yesterday I turned the big 26! I was excited that I was able to spend it with family in Vegas. It started out with a road trip to Kingman, AZ with my dad. We met up with a friend down there and had lunch at Cracker Barrel. I was able to talk to Kyle for a little bit which was of course one of the best parts of the day. He sent me my favorite flowers, tulips, he always know how to make me smile. 

After my Dad and I got back into town we headed over to my in-laws house so they could give me my gifts. I had no idea what was about to happen. I walk in and see lots of family and friends, I was sooo surprised!!! My sister and mother-in-law had been planning this party for some time now and definitely caught me off guard. It was so much fun hanging out with everyone and enjoying the day. It was an incredibly special day. I just wish Kyle and my Mom had been there to celebrate, but I know they were there in spirit.

I am enjoying time with my family, especially snuggling my new baby nephew and my sweet niece! I am so excited that I get to stay here until August 16th!!!

New Tattoo!!

Tonight, I went with a friend so she could get her first tattoo. While we sat and waited I was feeling in the spirit and decided to get another (totally spur of the moment). 

20 minutes later here is what I ended up with:

 The initials are obviously my amazing husbands!!!

It is on the back of my neck and I have to say it was the least painful tattoo I have ever gotten. I love it!! 

Grayson Christopher Glass

I am proud to introduce our precious baby nephew who was born at 10:34am in Las Vegas. He was 8lbs 6oz and completely perfect!!

Getaway for a Day!!

It was a wonderful day but I sure did miss the hubby since he and I love going to the beach together. 

In other news, my sister is being is being induced tonight!!! She will go in at 8pm (11pm my time) and get the ball rolling! I can't wait to share the news that our nephew, Grayson, is here!!

fun times ahead

In a few weeks I will be heading back to Vegas. I am looking forward to more time with my family as well as my in-laws. It will be so fun to have a new baby around. My sister found out Tuesday that she will be induced next Thursday July 13th!!! Wahoo!!!

On top of having a great time with family I am planning on doing a few things for myself. Here is the first:

Yup, I will be getting my nose pierced!! I am have been wanting to do this for a long time and I figured now is a good time. 

Here is the second:

Tattoo #6!!! I have been trying to decide the last few months what I wanted and when I saw this I knew it was perfect. I want to get it on the side of my left leg. Instead of all red stars, I want to add some blue and white as well. I am really hoping everything works out and that I can get it done. 

All is well here in NC, nothing too exciting has been going on just the normal day to day stuff. I was very proud of myself because the other night I actually cooked myself a meal haha. That sounds so sad coming from someone who LOVES to cook, here is what I made:

Kyle is doing well overseas, keeping busy with work. Poor guy is working himself to the bone and it always seems that he is at work until 11pm-midnight every night.  I sent him out 3 more boxes this week, which included a lot of cake in a jar. He also sent me a box while I was in Vegas, it included a cute little bear, a card and of course spoons!!! Since I am an avid collector it was the best gift.

Last night I safely landed back here in NC. I had such a wonderful visit in Vegas with my family!! Being able to help out my sister who is literally a little more than a week away from giving birth to my nephew was great! 

On Saturday June 25th we had my Mom's celebration of life party. It turned out amazing we had about 65-70 people there. It was a beautiful day for the kids to play on the splash pad and playground. We hung out, enjoyed good food and all told stories of my beautiful Mom. Here are a few pictures from the day:

Friday, July 1st, was another special day. My Dad and I hosted a baby shower for my sister, Lisa. It was such a great day! It was a small and intimate gathering of close family and friends. We played games, ate good food and Lisa opened all her amazing gifts. Here are a few pics from the day:

 I am so happy that my Dad and I were able to help my sister celebrate the upcoming arrival of baby Grayson! 

For my Dad's birthday last month, Lisa, Mike and I had a tree planted in the neighborhood park in honor of Mom. My Dad wanted a place where he could go to just talk to her. My mom took us to play in that park when we were little so it was very special here is a picture of the tree and plaque:

 Overall, it was an amazing trip!!! I can't wait to go back in two weeks, especially since my nephew will be around!! Yay!!
