Let's Get Political...just kidding

There are 3 things that you will never catch me talking about: money, religion and the biggest one of all is politics. I find that no matter your beliefs it always causes conflict with someone else. I just choose to keep my opinions to myself. I honestly have no desire to get in a debate with other people because it always ends up with someone angry about one thing or another. With the election coming up everyone is talking about it, which is fine, but I just choose to keep my mouth shut. I have had to limit my time on Facebook because I just don't want to hear about it. I have noticed that some people can't seem to have a civilized conversation about politics and that's sad. It reminds me of the saying "If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all."

Everyone is entitled to their opinion I would just rather not read about it 24/7 on my newsfeed. Bottom line is that I will be voting but I just don't want to blast my political feelings and beliefs all over the internet.

Haha this made me laugh....but in all seriousness I don't delete anyone over their posts, I just either hide the post or close my computer. :)

I hope you all have an awesome weekend!!

House Hunting

Since before we even found out we were moving we had decided that we wanted to buy a house. When we found out that we got Bliss we immediately started looking. We had a few requirements that we did not want to budge on: 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bath, 2 car garage and a pretty awesome kitchen (since I spend the majority of my time in there). We decided instead of searching ourselves that we would go through USAA to assign us a realtor. So far she has been awesome, she created a private website for us with listings that meet our requirements and price range.

There is one house that keeps sticking in my mind:

How gorgeous is this house!?!??!

It is everything we want! The best part is it's brand new. It has tile in the kitchen, entry way, dining rooms and bathrooms with carpet throughout the rest of the house which I love! I know it's early but this is the perfect example of the type of house we are looking for. We are planning a trip to El Paso in 2 weeks (since we only live 5 hours from there) to check out the area and really get a feel for everything. If we like what we see on the outside/neighborhood we will definitely be contacting our realtor to look at it. I am ready to be able to do what we want in a house without worrying if it's ok or not.

Of course if all else fails we are not opposed to living on post again (if they would contact me back, ugh! I hate waiting on people). I am just keeping my fingers crossed that all of this works out.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

* I also wanted to give a quick update on our sweet Emma. Since she has been on the antibiotics and anti-inflammatories she has been doing great. Kyle said she is back to her spunky self and the swelling has completely gone down. She is still scheduled for surgery on the 25th to remove the tooth and get a thorough dental cleaning. I can't wait to see her on the 19th when she and Kyle make the road trip to Vegas.

Weekend of Fun!

I have to say that this weekend has been pretty great!! On Saturday I took my niece, Kylie, to see Disney's Phineas and Ferb Live show. I have to say it was pretty cute and we had a great time spending quality time together:

Us waiting for the show to start.

On Sunday, I spent the day with my Dad. We started the day out at the Drag Strip watching some racing. It was weird being out there and him not racing but hopefully his car will be ready for a race at Thanksgiving. I HATE being a spectator and not out on the starting line.

After a few hours at the track we drove an hour to St. George, Utah to have lunch here:

You can never ever go wrong with Cracker Barrel! I really wish we had one close to us in AZ. I could spend hours in their store and I am determined to get 2 of the rocking chairs for my porch.

Today Lisa, me and Kylie went to get pedicures. It was a nice relaxing time getting pampered with my sister and niece. We have been going to the same place in Vegas for about 6 years now and I hate going anywhere else. Afterwards we got lunch and headed home to just hang out. This week I plan on taking the kids to the park a lot to give my brother in law a break for a bit.

It was a wonderful weekend and it made the time fly by. In less than 2 weeks my hubby will be driving up here and we have his brothers wedding. Then on the 21st we will be headed home to AZ. I am beyond excited to see him! We have been getting the ball rolling the last few days on buying a house in El Paso. We have contacted a realtor there and she is setting up a website for us to look at homes and get ideas. We are still extremely excited about this move and are looking at the amazing positives of it (even though I have had several people want to give me their negative opinions about it). We are embracing this move and looking forward to this whole new and wonderful adventure.

I hope you all have had an amazing weekend!!!

Scarf Swap

A few weeks ago I signed up for a fun Scarf Swap hosted by the wonderful Allie @ A Day in A joyful Life

I got paired up with the awesome Sara @ You.And.Me.Are.We

This is Sara and her husband!

I highly suggest checking out her blog (if you haven't already), she is such a sweet girl and her blog is amazing!! She is very open and honest which is hard to find anymore and is just a genuinely nice person. I would love to meet her one day because I know that we would hit it off instantly! Please please check out her blog.

I loved shopping for her and even my husband joined in the fun. She said that she loved blues, purples and corals. I was able to find a beautiful coral color scarf for her that I was pretty certain she would love.

I was so excited to participate in this swap and I was not disappointed. Sara picked out a beautiful scarf for me and I cannot wait to wear it (since being in Las Vegas with 100 degree weather isn't ideal for scarf wearing lol).

Seriously, how awesome is this scarf??! I love it!

Don't mind the horrid mess that I am in this picture haha, this is the result of being up at 5am.

I had an awesome time doing this swap, Sara has turned out to be a pretty great bloggy friend!

Thanks again to Sara for my scarf and thanks to Allie for hosting!

We are going to......

FORT BLISS, TEXAS!!!!!!

2 nights ago Kyle and I both got a call from his previous battalion commander (he will be the new brigade commander for 3rd brigade, 1st armored division). He personally offered Kyle a command position at Bliss. I was blown away that he called me as well because not everyone considers the wife.

We are beyond honored and excited for this new journey.

To work with Col. LaNeve and his amazing wife, Kim again is a dream come true for us.
